QUESTION:
replacement globe for Stealth 3425A. Had the white glass. Was wondering if you have a cut glass type?

ANSWER:
The replacement glass for the Casablanca Stealth ceiling fans are only available in the opaque white style that originally comes with the fan. Replacement globes for Casablanca ceiling fans, including the Stealth, are all manufactured by Casablanca, so there are no other options than what Casablanca makes for their ceiling fans. FYI: The Stealth model 3245A has been replaced by the 3245Z, so the replacement glass would be the same as the glass shown on that model. Also, Casablanca has made several changes to the glass shade on the Stealth over the years, and newer globes may not fit on older models, so we must know the serial number of your Stealth in order to make sure we get the correct replacement. You can find the serial number on the top of the motor housing. Please call us with that information.

QUESTION:
What is the difference between Architectural White and Snow White in the Casablanca Stealth Ceiling Fan?

ANSWER:
Architectural white is a very soft slightly textured matte white finish. The texture has small bumps on it somewhat like an eggshell but is still very white. Snow white is a smooth glossy white finish.

QUESTION:
I bught a stealth one year ago and two days ago it stop working, not even the light goes on. It does not respond to the main control. Batteries are ok. What could be the problem. I am in Colombia.

ANSWER:
Could be as simple as a loose wire in the ceiling or could be a problem with the transmitter or something wrong with the on-board computerized control inside the fan. Casablanca has an excellent customer service and technical department that you can contact directly using this number: 1-888-227-2178. You can also find a local Casablanca Ceiling Fan Repair Center here!. Since you are in Colombia, I might also suggest talking to someone at the place where you purchased the fan.

QUESTION:
y current ceiling fan ha a light below the blades. When both fan and light are on, there isa strobe like effect caused by the blades interrupting the light. Will this Casablanca Stealth perform the same?

ANSWER:
All ceiling fans with lights will produce some type of strobe effect when the light is on. although some are substantially more noticeable than others. Ceiling fans that are the worst offenders generally have multiple lights or a single light that is wider than the body of the fan. The strobe effect is caused by light that is reflecting off the ceiling being interrupted by the blades. The Casablanca Stealth ceiling fans are built to minimize this effect as much as possible. As you will notice, the light fixture is very low in profile and is built-in to the bottom of the fan, so it does not project light directly upwards into the path of the blades. This minimized the strobe effect that you are experiencing. Ultimately, the Casablanca Stealth it is one of the best quality ceiling fans ever made. You will be more than satisfied should you decide to replace your existing fan with one.

QUESTION:
need replcement glass for casablanca stealth cieling fan

ANSWER:
We can supply a replacement glass shade for your Casablanca Stealth ceiling fan. However, older versions of the Stealth use a different globe than the current version, so you will need to give us the serial number off the top of your fan (there is a label) in order for us to get the correct replacement for you. Please call us with that info.

QUESTION:
The model I have now included a rounded light, not with any pointed gizmo on the bottom of the light. Is this still true? (Stealth)

ANSWER:
The Stealth ceiling fans still have the same rounded light fixture as always, there is no pointed glass and there never has been. There has been no change in the visual design of the globe since they were first produced, only slight modifications in the way the glass shade attaches (new glass shades will not fit onto older models).

ANSWER:
Yes, the bottom cap listed in our specifications refers to a cap that is used in place of the light fixture should you choose to install the fan without the light. A bottom cap is included with all Casablanca Stealth ceiling fans.

QUESTION:
Hi, I have this fan but the existing wall switch was damaged when it was moved and reinstalled incorrectly. I would like to purchase another fan exactly like this one and use both in my family room side by side (large room). Can we run both fans off of one wall switch or will I have to install two. If I need two, can I purchase an additional one to replace the broken one? Any help would be much appreciated. Thx, Julie

ANSWER:
If you have the wall controlled models (3212T), you cannot operate both fans from one control. The good news is that we can certainly supply you with a new control to replace your damaged one as well as another fan to match. Just give us a call and we will be happy to help you out.

QUESTION:
I need to replace the glass cover on my fan. Where can I purchase it?

ANSWER:
If you own a Casablanca Stealth, then just give us a call and we will get it for you. However, we will need to know how old the fan is (or a serial number) because they have changed the glass shade several times over the years and newer ones will not fit on older models.

#7303 Posted: 12/31/2009 1:22:39 PM | View page where question was posted

QUESTION:
1) How long should the downrod be for this fan in a great room with a cathedral ceiling that slopes up from 15 feet? The room is about 15X13 but with an open floor plan. 2)How long should these fans last before the motor gives out? 3) Is it cost effective to replace the computer for the intellitouch wallpad model in a 10 year old fan or should we just replace the fan (which we love)?

ANSWER:
The ceiling height that you have stated is somewhat ambiguous, so I will answer your question in this manner: For optimal performance, any ceiling fan should be positioned 8 to 9 feet from the floor. To calculate the correct downrod length for the Casablanca Stealth, the fan body and ceiling canopy combined will add about 12" to the length of a downrod, so buy a downrod that is about 12" less than the height where you want the fan to hang.

The motor on this fan will most likely never burn out and has a lifetime warranty...even if you let it run 24 hours a day for years on end. If you have experienced problems with the computerized components after 10 years of use, it is definitely more cost effective to have the fan serviced. Part of the beauty of owning a Casablanca fan is that if something does go wrong, they can be fixed. Casablanca offers the most excellent service in the industry. You can call Casablanca directly for service at: 1-888-227-2178.

QUESTION:
Is it possible for me to replace the fly wheel in my 3245T Stealth Fan by myself? Is the part covered by the lifetime warranty? Thanks

ANSWER:
I will not say that it is impossible to remove a broken flywheel from a Casablanca fan, but it is not likely. The part is precision made and press fit at the factory. Those who service Casablanca fans have a special tool made by Casablanca specifically designed to remove the flywheel without damaging the fan, so I recommend that you simply contact a service center to perform the replacement.

You can use this link to find a local service center for your Casablanca fan: Casablanca Service Center Locator

About the Rubber Flywheel: The rubber flywheel is not actually part of the motor, so it is not covered by the lifetime motor warranty. Flywheels are expected to wear out over time and generally will last 8 to 10 years. The rubber flywheel is one reason people enjoy Casablanca fans so much compared to other brands because it helps make the fan run smooth and quiet even at the highest speeds by balance helping to minimize the affect of blades that are slightly out of balance as well as dampen the noise produced by the motor. I like to equate the rubber flywheel to the difference in the ride between the original automobiles that had solid rubber tires compared to those today that have air filled tires. You certainly must replace your tires as they wear out, but imagine how less comfortable your ride would be if your wheels were made of solid rubber. Most other brands connect their blades directly to the solid steel casing of the motor rather than to a rubberized flywheel.

QUESTION:
Whats the difference between the Casablanca Stealth Ceiling Fan Model 3245A in brushed nickel and the Stealth Ceiling Fan Model 3245T in Brushed Nickel?

ANSWER:
The suffix "A" in any Casablanca model number refers to the Adapt-Touch remote control. The suffix "T" refers to the Inteli-Touch wall control. Therefore, the 3245A is the remote control version of the Stealth and the 3245T is the Inteli-Touch wall controlled version of the Stealth. The two controls are unique and not interchangeable or compatible with each other, so they are different models.

QUESTION:
does the w32 wall control send the signals to the fan over wires or through the air? if through the wires how many wires? If through the air would a w62 control also work?

ANSWER:
The Casablanca Inteli-Touch control (W32) is unique in that it is the only fan control of its kind that sends the signal through the wires. This allows Casablanca to use a sophisticated computerized system enabling the unique features that have made Casablanca fans famous. In addition, it is all done through a single hot wire, which means you simply replace a normal light switch with the Inteli-Touch control without the need for any additional wiring. With this said, the W62 control would not be compatible with the W32.

QUESTION:
Can I purchase a replacement glass for the Stealth fan? Will Stealth fans work with both wall switches (W32 and W62), or does the fan's internal electronics only support one or the other? Can it be hard wired to work off a conventional fan/light switch if that is preferred?

ANSWER:
We can certainly supply you with a replacement globe for your Casablanca fan...just give us a call. As far as your further questions, the W32 Inteli-Touch wall controlled fans are not compatable with the W62 Advan-Touch remote control based on the electronics. Furthermore, you cannot hard wire either fan to work without their internal electronics. Keep in mind that these controls are the most sophisticated computerized ceiling fan controls on the market...but even at that, they have their limitations. Look for a change in this limitation in the future...possibly 2009, since Casablanca has been working on the technology for several years now. We actually expected to see production of models that could use a wall control and remote control this year, but they could not work out the bugs in time. Eventually they anticipate making their controls compatable with home automation software, but that is still in the works as well.

QUESTION:
how do i program the remote and this fan i bought a home and need to get the remote working-

ANSWER:
The control does not require any specific programming to work. However, you will likely need to read the instruction manual in order to understand how to operate it. You can download a .pdf copy of the instruction manual for the Advan-Touch control (which is the control your fan uses) at the Casablanca website using this link:

QUESTION:
I have 9 stealth fans in my home....I have had them for 3 years...is there any additional maintenance I need to do for the fans yearly?...5 of my fans just stopped working

ANSWER:
There is really no maintenance for these fans aside from cleaning them so they look good. Did all of the fans stop working at the same time? If so, it sounds like they could have been affected by a power surge. If this is the case, unlike other brands that get affected in this way, your Casablanca Stealth fans can be fixed. Here is the number to call for Casablanca fan repairs: 1-888-227-2178. Here is a link to the owners manual for your fans in case you need it:

QUESTION:
Hello, I am interested in the Stealth (Nickel with belached Oak blades) for a dining room w/ standard 8' ceiling and an existing wall switch and fan high-med-low control. 1. do I want the 6" downrod? 2. With 3245T, which can I use an additional optional remote? (52W or what?) Thanks for your help, would like to proceed with purchase based on your advice.

ANSWER:
You will not want to use any additional downrod with your Caslablanca Stealth ceiling fan since the 3 1/2" downrod that comes with the fan is designed for installations on an 8 foot ceiling. If you purchase the Stealth fan with the Inteli-Touch wall control (model 3245T), you cannot use a remote control along with that control since Casablanca has not yet devised a way for both types of controls to work with their fans. If you wish to use a remote control, then you must purchase the remote controlled Stealth (model 3245A). You can purchase an additional remote transmitter model W62. If this is the case, your wall controls will become useless and must be left in the on position in order to provide power to the fan. You can however attach one of the remote controls to the wall, since it comes with a wall cradle that holds the control for those who want the remote control to act like a wall control. You can then have the additional wall control anywhere else in the room.

QUESTION:
I am interested in installing a Casablanca Stealth fan in a stairway/hallway. Currently there is a three-way switch at the top & bottom of the stairs. Does the Stealth model have a hard-wire switch that will allow me to operate the lights and fan from either switch location?

ANSWER:
The Casablanca Stealth model 3245A is a remote controlled fan. The wall controlled version (inteli-touch) is model 3245T. If you purchase the wall controlled version, you can purchase an additional W32 wall control that will enable you to do what you are asking. If you want the remote controlled version, you can purchase an additional remote transmitter (W62), and use that upstairs. The transmitters come with a cradle that you can attach to the wall to use as a wall control, but this would defeat the use of the existing switches (which you would need to make sure are always left on so that your remotes work).

QUESTION:
I am interested in a Casablanca Stealth Ceiling fan. The room has a pitched roof (20 deg) and the ceiling mount is 117" above the floor. What is the recommended height of Ceiling Fans and what size down rod would I need?

ANSWER:
Ceiling fans operate at their optimal efficiency if the blades are 7 to 8 feet from the foor. So I would recommend an 18" downrod in your application, which will put the blades somewhere around 7 1/2 feet from the floor. The normal mounting hardware that comes with the fan can hang at the 20 degree angle, so you will not need to buy a special mounting system.
