QUESTION: can you rewire remote control fans so they can be control by wall switch one switch for light and one switch for fan?
ANSWER: Some yes, some no, it depends on the brand and model of the ceiling fan. Some fans use what they call a universal remote control that has a receiver inside the canopy of the fan that is wired between the ceiling and the fan motor. If this is the case, you may be able to bypass the control. Others use more proprietary systems that cannot be bypassed. Without knowing the brand and model of fan you are referring to, I cannot give you any more specific information. If you can supply me with that, I may be able to help you further. If you cannot locate the brand and model of your fan, email me a picture and I will see if I can recognize it. It would also help if I knew where the fan was purchased.
