How to select a light kit for your ceiling fan...

If you do not own a fan that is on our site, or wish to use a fixture from one brand on a different brand of fan, you may be able to use fixtures from any of our brands except for Casablanca and Hunter (which have attachments specific to their fans). Please be aware that your fan must be able to accept a universal light fixture, which attach to a screw hole in the bottom of your fan as indicated in the picture above.

You must be able to remove the bottom cap from the fan and there must be existing wiring ready to be fed through the screw hole which is designed to accept a universal light fixture. If you have a fan that already has a light fixture, you must be certain that you can remove the existing light fixture from this screw hole and that the light kit is not actaully built into the entire bottom cap of the fan. Also, you must be aware that finishes between brands will vary, even if they have the same finish name and description. For example, polished brass from Hunter will not match polished brass from other brands.
