Shown in picture: (This fan is discontinued) Minka Aire Big Sky Ceiling Fan Model F612-DKG in Distressed Koa with Gold Highlights. The light fixture and Dark Walnut Blades are included as shown. The light fixture uses 2-13W GU-24 CFL Bulbs (Included)**. Comes with Hand Held Remote Control Transmitter with Canopy Mount Receiver and Wall Holster. The Minka Aire Big Sky ceiling fan is somewhat rustic-transitional-mission-craftsman in style. The beaded detail with straps on the motor housing give it a substantial forged look that is accented by the hand applied finish. Great quality and great performance at a reasonable price make this fan an excellent choice for any average to large size room.

Can I operate more than 1 fan from a single remote? Although it is possible to operate multiple ceiling fans from a single remote control, we do NOT recommend it with any brand. Doing so can cause your fans to get out of sync (one off and the other on, or one on high and the other on low) and getting them back in sync becomes quite a challenge. To avoid frustration, be sure to operate each fan from its own designated remote control.
Low, High or Vaulted Ceiling Installation Options
Minimum Ceiling Height Requirement: This fan requires a minimum ceiling height of at least 95.75" in order to meet building codes. If your ceiling is lower than 95.75" then you may need to add a flushmount adapter or close to ceiling dowrod if one is available for the fan (see below).
If you cannot find what you need to make this fan work in your room, please give us a call so we can check to see if there are any further alternatives.

Minka Aire Big Sky Ceiling Fan Comparison Review
How does the Minka Aire Big Sky Compare to the Average Ceiling Fan?
Quality Rating = 4 (average is 3)
A Quality Rating of 4 is above average, the Minka Aire Big Sky ceiling fan will run smooth and quiet and will give you many years of operation with no worries of the motor burning out.
Airflow = 4547 CFM (average is about 5755)
4547 CFM is below average, so don't expect to feel much of a breeze from this fan unless you are
are pretty close to it. Fans with this low of a CFM rating will not provide enough breeze for larger rooms and are not highly recommended for rooms that have
ceilings over 9 feet high. If you are concerned about whether or not the Minka Aire Big Sky will move enough air for your needs, please give us a call and we will help you make the determination.
Efficiency Rating = 63 CFM/Watt (average is about 86)
An Efficiency Rating of 63 is
Efficiency is defined by the EPA as the amount of airflow a fan produces (CFM) divided by the amount of
electricity (Watts) it uses on high speed without any lights on. Efficiency is less important than Airflow because more
CFMs allow you to raise your thermostat higher...which is where you will save the most energy. Efficiency becomes more important if
you expect to operate several ceiling fans at the same time. (see calculator below)
Electrical Usage = 72 Watts (average is about 76)
72 Watts per hour is
pretty close to average, so it will cost about the same to operate the Minka Aire Big Sky as most other ceiling fans.
Use the calculator below to estimate just how much it will cost to operate this fan in "Your home".
CFM -vs- Efficiency: CFM is KING! It is more important to buy a fan with higher CFMs than it is to buy a fan that uses less electricity. The highest wattage consumed by the most energy guzzling ceiling fan on our website is about 120 watts. So if you input 120 as the fan watts and run our calculator, you will see that it still costs less than 2 cents per hour to operate the most energy guzzling ceiling fan in most states.
You will get more savings with a higher CFM fan than a lower Wattage fan because if your fan moves more air
you will be able to raise your thermostat to a higher degree. Raising your thermostat by 10 degrees can save you up to 40% on your cooling bills. Choosing a less powerful fan because it uses less electricity can be the worst mistake you can make because it will not cool you off enough to allow you to raise your thermostat to a high enough level without becoming uncomfortable. This is why CFM is so much more important to consider than Wattage.
