I will be controlling Modern Fan Co #PHA52NKINNC with exiting seperate wall switches for fan and light (fan speed control and dimmer) and wanted to verify that the fan itself has 3 wire control for fan and light. It looks like the ordering nomenclature would include at the end of the part number 002 rather than NC? Just wanted to be sure that the fan would ship with 3 wire. Thanks for your help,
Answer: The Modern Fan Company Pharos ceiling fan does in fact come with 3 wires, so it will work with a setup as you have described where there are 2 separate switches on the wall...one to control the fan speeds and one for the light. If you order the fan just as is on our site, it will come to you ready to install in that manner. No controls are included with the fan, so you will not need to add any controls in your case since you already have them.

I have a direct line and am wondering how the three speeds are controlled if no remote is included?
Answer: Because Modern Fan Company does not include any type of control with the Cirrus Hugger, you must choose a control. Answer: The Modern Fan Company Ball ceiling fans are in fact available in 220V, but you must call us to place your order. If you process the order online, it will be be 110V.

Can this fan be flush mounted and can you explain what the error is with the light fixture
Answer: The Modern Fan Halo Ceiling fans cannot be flush mounted in the traditional sense. They comes with a 3" and 9" downrod, so the shorter downrod would be the best choice if you have an 8 foot ceiling. If you look closely at the design of the fan, the blades are on the top, so there must be a short extension in order to install it and allow the blades to clear the ceiling enough to circulate air.
The error regarding the light fixture has been fixed. The fan includes a 100 Watt Incandescent light fixture. You can upgrade this to a Fluorescent fixture if you wish by clicking on the button for Lights.
Keep in mind that many fans made by The Modern Fan Company do not come with any type of control and there are no pull chains, so you must select a control for the fan by clicking on the button for Controls.

I am looking for contemporary outdoor ceiling fan in 220V (to be used in Israel). Which of the models you have answer for this requests?
Answer: The Modern Fan Cirrus would be an excellent choice and is in fact available in 220V. Most of the other ceiling fans made by Modern Fan Company are also available in 220 Volt versions, so stick with them and you will be able to find a fan that suites your needs.

I need the 72" down rod which I have seen for a rediculous $48.00 elsewhere. That's alot for a piece of tubing. How much do you charge? I need 3 fans altogether, but only one with a 72" down rod.

Since this fan uses a fluorescent lamp, can it be dimmed?
Answer: None of the fans from Modern Fan Company that have flurorescent lamps can be dimmed. Although not depicted on our site at this moment, you can choose either the special remote control Model 003ND or wall control model 004ND designed for fans with fluorescent lamps. These controls will have 3 speeds and an on/off light feature.

Will this work as a hugger?
Answer: This particular Altus fan from Modern Fan company cannot be installed as a hugger. However, Modern Fan Company does make the Altus Hugger, which is the same style fan desgined as a hugger.

Is this fan available as a non 3 wire option either through the use of a two wire wall control or remote option.
Answer: Yes it is. You can choose a 2 wire wall control or a hand held remote control. These items were not showing on our site at the time you visited, so we correct the problem. Answer: In most cases they are ordered and are delivered factory direct. Since it is very rare that these items are on back order, the delivery time depends on the method of shipment you are willing to pay for. Typical UPS ground orders usually takes between 5 and 7 business days.

Answer: They do not use real metal blades, which would be unsafe...they are painted wood.

Hi, We live in area with hurricanes - Are the blades easily detachable ? Is there anything else detachable easily ?
Answer: The blades on this fan are easier to detach than most fans of this style. Most fans that have a unibody construction such as this require to disassemble the motor housing to remove the blades. That is not necessary with the Modern Fan Company Ball ceiling fan since the blade holders are already attached to the motor housing. All you do is remove the 3 screws that hold each blade on from the top side of the blades.
