Firebacks:
A fireback
protects the vulnerable mortar and masonry of a fireplace by
reflecting the fire's heat into the room. With a fireback, a cold
hearth exudes a dash of warmth and sculptural quality, while a fire
provides a dramatic interplay of light and shadow. Gone is the view of
stained and crumbling bricks.
Each fireback
in this collection is a finely detailed original work created by
artist J. Del Conner. Sand-cast in virtually the same manner as their
antique forebears, these firebacks are designed with today's fireplace
in mind. Whether burning wood or gas logs, these sturdy cast iron
