About the Marble
The marble
used to make these mantels is chosen is of "Statuary" grade and
is mined in Jiangxi, ZheJiang, and Guangdong China. These locations have
over two thousand years of history yeilding the best type of marble
available for hand carving. Perfect for the fine quality carved marble
mantels depicted here.
The coloration is very much like what you
see in these pictures...a creamy Ivory white with very little striation.
Some Imperfections are to be expected as this is a purely natural mined
and carved stone.

Note: Do not expect perfection in these hand carved
masterpieces. Small chips, hairline fractures, and variations in
coloration are inherent in marble products such as this and are
considered part of their natural beauty. Each piece is unique.

product, veining, color, and texture will vary dramatically from
mantel to mantel, particularly when special colors are ordered.
As a matter of fact...you can order
3 mantels made of the same marble mined from the same location on
the same day...and they can look completely different.
So, if you desire a special color,
we will be more than happy to have it carved for you, but we cannot
guarantee that the actual mantel will be identical to any color
sample that may be supplied or shown on this site.
