I currently have no embers in my fireplace. My wife is complaining because the flame is "too" blue and not enough yellow. Will the embers improve this look? If not do you have any suggestions as to how I get a yellow flame?

Answer: Without knowing what type of gas burning fireplace you have, I cannot answer your question. For example, if it is a vent free gas log, you CANNOT safely add any embers to the burner unless the burner was designed for their use. It could cause the burner to create carbon monoxide (lethal odorless gas). I have a heatilator mh36a model gr4, the back part # 17177b always cracks by the end of winter, is there a better part for this firplace?

We have a gas fireplace with a glass screen, which gets very hot. We need a screen to put in front of the fireplace to keep our daughter from touching the hot glass. Would this screen do that?

Answer: Sure, it would be fine. However, it is not a very heavy screen, so I would recommend finding a way to hook it to the wall so she cannot pull it over. You can put a couple of screw hooks in the wall and just tie it to them.

I have read that stainless steel firebacks should not be used with gas logs because the extra reflected heat may damage the gas shutoff valve. What is your recommendation?

Answer: Peterson makes the stainless steel firebacks with the intention of being used with their gas logs. When installed with Peterson gas logs according to the manufacturers instructions, they are perfectly fine.

Can we purchase these green candles as well from your site?

Answer: The candles do not come with the fireplace candelabra and I am sorry to say that we do not sell the candles (the green ones pictured do look nice). However, this particular candle holder is designed to hold typical 2" to 3" diameter column type candles that are quite common, so you will have no problem finding candles to fit it.

Answer: Shipping for the Minuteman Fireplace Candelabra model CH-06 is a flat rate of $8.50 anywhere in the continental USA. There is no sales tax either.

Does this product have any bronze accents? I would prefer not, but know there is another one that does (PI-H4018MBK) so I just want to make sure it did not get overlooked in the description.
