I was trying to locate a 9.75 in. replacement glass globe for an outdoor ceiling fan. I was directed to your website, but then I was unable to find what I was looking for. I have a harbreeze with remote. Everytime we lose electricity, if only momentarily (which is at least 1x/week), the fan stops working. I have 5 other fans in my house including another remote operated, but this is the only one that stops working completely. I've had an electrician in to fix this fan at least 8 times in the last 2 years.

HARBOR BREEZE CHESIRE MODEL. Fan would only go at one speed, after working okay initially. Checked wires on the pull switch, then replaced the switch. Same thing. Fan goes on but only speed on only one pull, and no other power for the other two speeds. What should the configuration for the color wires (yellow, orange, violet, be in the 1-2-3 switch. I know the fan works because the black wire (power) is in the L. Thanks.

I recently pruchased Harbor Breeze light kit # 156605-4 lights. The pictures on the box indicates that the rim of the globes are circled in black. I did not know that they are not circled in black until I had the kit installed and ready to attach the globes. Did I get a set that missed the black paint? I am really disappointed. I HAVE A HARBOR BREEZE DUAL LIGHT CEILING FAN AND THE REMOTE HAS BEEN MISPLACED. I PURCHASED A HARBOR BREEZE UNIVERSAL REMOTE AND IT ONLY CONTROLS ONE OF THE LIGHTS. APPARENTLY WHEN MY REMOTE WAS MISPLACED, THE TOP LIGHT WAS ON DIM. NOW WHEN I JUST WANT THE CEILING FAN ON, I STILL HAVE THE TOP LIGHT ON BECAUSE THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE DOESN'T WORK THE TOP LIGHT.

I've just installed a Halston Harbor Breeze Brushed Nickel Ceiling fan Item #119871 to replace an older model fan. It works just fine, but during operation the fan motor housing gets warm but 'not hot' and it smells as if the motor is giving off an odor. Is this because it is brand new or is it a fault of the unit? I'm fairly certain it is wired correctly, I do have old wiring in my home but used a tester to determine black and white, the unit is also grounded. Should I continue using it?

Here are the vitals on my fan "E75795" Model: AC-552AL Motor My issue is that when I turn the fan on the lights come on but the blades DO NOT spin...all I hear is a hum from the motor. When I pull the chain that controls the fan speed the hum intensifies or reduces in accordance to what speed setting I have just switched it to, but the blades remain stationary. There are no clips that are holding the blades in place and I can spin the blades by hand.....what could be the issue?

We purchased 2 harbor breeze ceiling fans w/light fixtures about 5 years ago. Unfortunately, one of the fans seems to be close to shorting out and is not safe. I have an outdoor Harbor Breeze unit with a remote control. The remote quit working. I have changed the battery without success. The red light at the top of the remote does come on. The fan is stuck in the on position so it is operational using the light switch.
What can I do to get the remote to work? Any suggestions?

I have an Aero (Lowes) 52" ceiling fan. I know it's junk. Under warranty a company called Litex will replace the bad remote receiver.I removed it and just hard wired power to run the fan. My question is -it's running at high speed. Without the remote, how do I get it to switch to low speed?

I bought the Harbor Breeze 52" Portico Fan Item #275478 ans was planning to install it outdoords on a wooden Pergola (awning). The mfg. literature indicates this fan is suitable for wet porches. The roof of my Pergola is constructed of 2" x 2" wooden slats to break up the sun to create shade. This fan will be directly exposed to inclement weather. Is this a suitable application, or should I be looking for a different fan?

We have a harbor breeze fan in the living room, which has run 24-7 on high, yesterday morning, thank God no one was around, a blade flew off. This could have been serious! We have never experienced anything of this nature before. Very scary!!!! We better buy another brand!

I have several Harbor Breeze ceiling fans that have been in operation for about 3 years. 3 out of 7 in my house are now not working, the symtoms were identically as they went out, first the speed dropped to the lowest setting, then they just stopped working. After looking at each fan, I found tha the Capacitors in each one of them are bubble and the actual problem. Is there a site that you can purchase replacement 5 wire capacitors?

We bought a harbor breeze ceiling fan about one year ago from Lowe's and now the blades won't spin when the fan is turned on (even though the light still works). Lowe's cannot help. We really like Harbor Breeze but were disappointed in the fact that it does not work after only a year. We would to use Harbor Breeze fans when we build our new home next year but are unsure of the quality. Please let us know how the situation can be rectified.

My Harbor Breeze fan installation is going great with the exception of the ground wiring hook-up. There is a green wire from the ceiling and a green wire from the fan which are to be connected. However, there is also a bare wire from the ceiling that I don't know what to do with. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I bought a harbor breeze 2 years ago, all was good. One day working perfect next day nothing. I no ceiling fan, no lights. I have determined that there is power to the fan. I have detached the lighting unit, I plug the lighting unit neutral/live wires into an outlet and the light works. The light fixture and fan are showing 126.7 volts, however when I attached the lighting unit to the fan, NOTHING. Any ideas?

I have a harbor breeze 3-speed fan w/ light fixture, not sure the model or how old, but has no remote. Only pull chains and a wall switch. A few days ago, the lights stopped working (changed the 60W bulbs), but the fan still worked. Now there is a 2-3 second delay between when I turn fan on at wall switch and when it starts spinning. I guess some part is going on it, but don't know what. Similar fans price around $100 so hope it's a $15 replacement part. Any ideas how to troubleshoot? Thanks

I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan and it has a remote. Yesterday the remote stopped responding to the fan. I thought it was the battery but I changed it and all the lights seem to be working fine on the remote. But my fan doesn't respond. I can manually turn on the fan but the light no longer comes on and the remote doesn't turn off the light or the fan but it was working fine yesterday but suddenly stopped. We have 2 Harbor Breeze ceiling fans in our bedroom. The only way to turn them on is with the remote. When I flip the wall switch, the fans/lights do not come on. Is there a way to program it, so that the lights/fans work from both the switch and the remote?

We need to know if there is a way that we can change the pitch?
The reason being is that it doesn't have enough down air flow to keep the bugs off of us when we sit on our front porch at night. If you could please let me know if there is a way & where we can find the parts I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a fan that looks like the Harbor Breeze 52" Polished Brass Moonglow Ceiling Fan. I can't find anything on it that says it is a Harbor Breeze. When I pull the light switch the first time, the top lights go on; When I pull the second time, the bottom lights flicker but don't stay on. I have to pull the switch again to get them to stay on. I think the swtich inside the casing is going bad. Do I need a model 493 or 493 replacement?

If anyone is looking for a downrod coupler for the Harbor Breeze fans you get from lowes w/ 3/4" downrod, use a 3/4" ridid pipe coupling and drill two holes in the sides one at top and one at bottom. Use a 1/4-28 tap and use two 1/4-28 set screws. Add a little thread lock to the coupling and set screws. This worked great for me as I needed a 96" downrod for a 20' ceiling

I bought a habor breeze model aer52bp5lkrc at lowes ~1.5yrs ago.I replace the remote and the receiver but the fan only turns offf from the switch(on/off) and not on.Before this I was able to turn the fan on and off from the switch w/o the remote.However the remote had to say light on when doing so. the pull chain switch on the fixture of my harbor breeze ceiling fan light combo unit. It is the little chain on the bottom that controls the light to be turned on and off at the fixture itself that has jambed or something and will not work anymore. I have taken it off, it says its a zing ear. it is just a little coil like mechanism that has a spring in it that makes contact for the 2 wires that come into it to make a switched connection. Do you know where I can get such a switch. thanks, Kirk

I need a replacement pair of mounting gaskets for our 4 year old Harbor Breeze fan. The fan is mounted so that it partially hangs over our spa, (we had the fan first). Consequently, the spa cover would sometimes hit the blades if we weren't careful when we opened the cover. Now one of the two square gaskets that helps hold the fan housing to the ceiling bracket is broken, and the fan is about to fall down. How can I get replacement gaskets?

We purchased a Harbor Breeze (Austin) fan. Wish I had checked you web-site first we returned it immediately when after install we got a horrific noise from the motor at all speeds.
Do you know of a comparable fan in look and style that is much better quality? The HB Austin was perfect for the room but obviously we want something that actually works.

I bought 4 ceiling fans at Lowes on 7/14 05. I have the receipt, one of the fans motors stopped working and I don't know which serial # on receipt it is. Lowes doesn't carry the fan anymore. I would like to replace the fan motot, because I like the fan, and they are supposed to be under warrenty.

Problem is I cannot find a 24"-36" Downrod extension for it that matches "Gunmetal" anywhere and both HD and HB are worthless when it comes to customer service. Do you have any suggestions other than dig a hole and bury the fan in it?

I read the latest posting that a Harbor Breeze Ceiling fan's capacitor pack melted. Coincidentally, I have a Harbor Breeze 52 in. Tahoe and I noticed first of all, only the high and medium speeds work & The low speed doesn't work @ all. Then I noticed a heavy "alcohol like" odor in the room. My gut feeling is that it is either the fan switch or the capacitor pack frying. Do you agree? What's worse is it was working for 4 mnths. Sounds like a return to Lowe's. Luckily I still have the receipt

Imagine my surprise, and dismay, when I stumbled upon this forum. My Harbor Breeze "Annalise" worked fine for a few weeks. After that, it only had 2 settings: high-speed and off. I figured it was the switch, so I cut it out and inspected it. The switch was fine. Then I noticed a little melted "bubble" in the capacitor pack.
The only place I've found for a replacement is on-line, and the price is ridiculous.
I guess I'll try returning the fan now. Thanks for the info in this forum!

I have bought a Harbor Breze Remote Control Ceiling fan for my spare room but can not get it wired to work
The manual tells me to connect black to black and white to white, which I have done but no power to the unit.
We have an older house and there is black, white and red (and ground) coming from the junction box.

We have a Harbor Breeze remote controlled ceiling fan. We just installed the uplights and can't get them to turn on - the downlights are on and working fine. We don't have the original product inset to see if there is some sequence of events that have to take place on the remote to get the uplight to work, but at this point they don't.

I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with remote which worked fine until I had an interior light fixture with remote installed. Now, the both the remote for the fan and the light fixture operate the light fixture and neither work the fan. Help! Are there some internal settings on the remote which can be reset? I have the 52" Galileo. I love it, love it love it...until one day we had a lightening storm...and my power went out for 2 seconds. After this, my fan wasn't working. I used the transmitter on another fan in the house and it worked, I went to Lowes, and bought a new harbor Breeze wireless kit, to replace my old receiver, and it's still not working. Any suggestions? The unit never made noise, no signs of motor wear, great fan, when it worked....

I am looking for a replacement arm blade for a Craftmade ceiling fan it has a span of about 39 inches. I am not sure of the model name, where can I find it on the fan? Where would I be able to find the part? I found a similar looking part in the local Lowe's, but it was for 52" Harbor breeze fans and the holes don't match up.

I have a Hampton Bay Carriage House 5 blade fan (model no. 387-805). The fan moves correctly at the speed selected. However, I can hardly feel any air flow from the fan, even when standing directly below it. (the fan is moving in the right direction). Any help will be much appreciated. THANK YOU!

I have a Harbor Breeze fan that is only working at one speed. I believe the wiring in the switch is not correct. I have tried all different combinations, but cannot get the fan to work on all 3 speeds. The wires are black, gray, orange & purple. Can you tell me which wires should be connected to 1, 2, 3 & L?

We want to buy a Harbor breeze 52" ceiling fan from Lowe's and install it on our 13 foot ceiling. We want to replace the fan blades with a different color (where can we buy them?)We also need a 4 foot drop rod that will match and work with that brand. Will any drop rod fit the Harbor breeze fan?

I have a harbor breeze ceiling fan. It has been installed for only 2 weeks. This morning I noticed that the fan no longer works in the low setting. This fan has no light and no wall switch. I change speeds and on/off with the pull chain. What can I do to fix with out having to take it down and return to lowes? Or should I take it down and get a better quality fan.

I have a Harbor Breeze fan controlled by a remote. I bought it about 6 months ago. When I first installed it, it worked great. After a while though, it started spinning slower and slower and the motor became louder and louder. Finally the fan just stopped working completely...fan and lights. I just replaced the remote pack and it's working but the blades are spinning really slow and the motor sounds pretty loud. Any ideas?

Wiring question. I have 4 wires, red, white, black and ground coming from my ceiling. My fan includes a light and remote. The receiver for the remote control has six wires ( side 1 has blue, orange, black and white wires) and side 2 of the receiver has 2 wires( white and black). The receiver for the remote needs to be wired to the fan which has four wires (blue, orange, white and black)and then to the house current. How do i do the wiring? My fan is 56" Exeter Harbor Breeze.Model:HE-04110LDWO.
