Light Bulb Lumen Comparison Chart

LED bulbs are now the best energy saving choice and will soon become your only choice. Here is a quick guide to the equivalent lumens between LED, CFL and Incandescent bulbs based on wattage. Keep in mind that the wattage of a bulb does not necessarily determine the lumens as the chart below suggests, so be sure to check the actual lumen output of any bulb for a more accurate comparison.

  1. Question #5072 - Posted: 5/15/2008 4:33:52 PM

    Lighting Question Model KL-5359-NI

QUESTION: I've clicked on "See Matching FIxtures" for ficture KL-5359-NI and it does not show any 3 lite fixtures that match. It seems odd there are no 3 lite bathroom fixtures to match.

ANSWER: Ooops. My mistake, I included the wrong link. It was not actually showing up in our database because it was categorized incorrectly. I fixed the error so now if you click on the See Matching Fixtures link, you will see the entire family of matching fixtures. Here is the correct link directly to the 3 light version of the Kichler 5359-NI bath fixture:

Kichler 3 light Wharton Bath Fixture Model 5361-NI

  2. Question #3499 - Posted: 12/3/2007 5:27:48 AM

    Lighting Question Model KL-10311-WH

QUESTION: Should I get the 4 bulb or 2 bulb version for a 7' wide x 14' long room? If I get the 4 bulb version and it turns out to be too bright, will it still operate if I take two of the bulbs out? Thanks!

ANSWER: Definately get the 4 bulb fixture for a room this size. The beauty of the t-8 bulbs is that they do provide a lot of light, but the light is more natural and easier on the eyes. If you do find them to be too bright, you can use less bulbs in the fixture.
