How Gas Logs Are Made - Best Gas Log Construction

Quality gas log construction - the best gas logs use refractory concrete and lined with metal rods. Skilled artisans hand-paint these quality gas logs with high-temperature resistant glazes and paints. These will last long and are beautiful for years. Inexpensive logs use cement and will break down quickly, often in less than a year.

How It's Made: Gas Log Construction
-Andrew Tells it Like it Is

How gas logs are made have a significant impact on their longevity and attractive look over time. There are many inexpensive sets, but they also might be garbage after their first use!

That's why we work with R. H. Peterson. We can sell any gas logs we want, but R. H. Peterson and their Real Fyre Gas Logs have the best construction of any of them.

Cement is often a choice for low-cost logs, but it can't handle the high temperatures that happen in the average fireplace. Some manufacturers use pure ceramic, but they do not look very realistic and have a tendency to easily break. R. H. Peterson creates a combination of the two, which is a proprietary mixture of high grade refractory cement and kiln fired ceramic powder. It is extremely durable, looks great, and radiates heat. After years of testing and refining, R. H. Peterson has blended the perfect mix that gives their gas logs the durability to handle the heat and give the best look for many, many years.

R. H. Peterson also reinforces their gas logs with steel rods. These triangulated steel rods prevent the logs from breaking apart and they help evenly distribute heat. Their craftsmen hand-paint most of their log sets and give them a truly lasting beautiful authentic look.

I really enjoy selling Peterson's logs. My customers are always very happy with the product and they keep them as a beautiful part of their homes for years. They're really good, mostly because this is the best gas log construction you can get. And, of course, I get to work here at Hansen Wholesale where I have the ability to make sure you get the best deal no matter what. We beat everyone's price and I'll make sure your cost is lowest when you work through us - because I can. It's a great position to be in and therefore it's a fun job.

Thanks for reading. I hope this helps!
