We Have Over 3500 Fans
Narrow Your Choices in 5 Quick Steps!
Step 1: Where will you be installing your fan?
Outdoors covered area NOT exposed to rain
Outdoor uncovered area exposed to rain
Help - Fan Location Ratings:
Ceiling fans come in 3 location ratings: Dry, Damp and Wet. If you choose "Indoor dry location" we will include all fans whether they are dry, damp or wet rated since they all can be installed indoors. For outdoor covered areas NOT exposed to rain we include both damp and wet rated fans (dry rated fans are excluded because they cannot be installed outdoors). For outdoor uncovered areas that ARE exposed to rain, we show only wet rated fans since damp and dry rated fans cannot be used in such areas. If in doubt, choose a wet ranted fan since they can be installed in any location and can even be hosed off.
Step 2: Choose the features that you would prefer
Controls (1 required):
Remote Control
Wall Control
Pull Chain

Lights (1 required):
Includes a Light
Does NOT include a light
I'm not sure (choose later)
Performance Features (not required):
Energy Efficient (DC Motor)
Strong Cooling Breeze
High Quality
Help - Fan Controls:
Most fans that include a remote control can also be operated by a wall control (sold separately) and Visa-Versa. Pull chain fans can usually be converted to remote control, but you will need to reverse the fan manually using the switch on the motor. Fans with built-in wall or remote controls can normally be reversed from the control.
Help - About Efficiency:
Fans with DC motors use up to 75% less electricity and are the environmentally conscious choice. They also run cooler and quieter and are best for sound sensitive areas such as bedrooms. Other fans use less expensive AC motors that guzzle electricity.
Help - About Strong Breeze
Ceiling fans that produce a strong breeze will cool you off the most on a hot summer day. For outdoors, a strong breeze is required, otherwise you will not feel much air at all. Fans that produce a stronger breeze typically incorporate more expensive higher end motors, which drives up the price.
Help - About Quality
We rate all of our fans from 1 to 5 based on their overall quality considering the components that go into them as well as the quality control of the manufacturer. When you select High Quality, we will limit your results to only show fans rated 4 or better.
Step 3: What finish would you prefer?
Nickel or Steel
Black or Gray
White
Wood or Natural

Help - Finishes:
We have not included all finishes that are available, but these are the most popular. If you do not see a finish you like then select Show All Finishes and you can filter by finish later.
Step 4: How big is your room?
10x10 Room (37" to 48" Fans)
12x12 Room (49" to 56" Fans)
15x15 Room (57" to 72" Fans)
Over 15x15 (Fans over 72")

Help - Fan Size:
The size recommendations are approximate. If you know what size fan you want and it is not within the recommended room size, choose your fan based on the size range instead of the room size.
Step 5: Flush Mount or Standard?
Standard Mount - Ceilings Over 8 Feet
I'm not sure (choose later)
Help - Fan Mount:
If your ceiling is less than 8 feet tall, you will need a flush mount or "Hugger" fan with a low profile so the blades are at least 7 feet from the floor. If your ceiling is 8 to 9 feet tall, most standard mount fans will work. For even higher ceilings, you would buy a standard mount fan and then a longer downrod to drop the blades down to about 7 or 8 feet from the floor for optimal performance.
