We have many choices of ceiling fans with lights including single lights and multiple lights in LED, Incandescent, Fluorescent and Halogen. We also have a wide variety of customizable ceiling fans where you can
choose what light fixture you want on the fan.
DC ceiling fans run off normal AC household electricity but use about 75% less electricity than typcial fans because they have permanent magnets that use almost no electricity.
If you want to save lots of electricity, then choose a DC motor ceiling fan.
Ceiling fans installed outdoors must be either damp or wet rated. Damp rated fans are for covered areas protected from rain whereas wet rated fans can be directly exposed to rain.
We also have specific wet rated fans we recommend for salt air near the ocean.
Hugger fans are designed for rooms where the ceiling is lower than 8 feet.
Because the blades are closer to the ceiling than a standard fan, they generate less airflow. So if your ceiling is 8 feet or higher,
we do not recommend installing a hugger fan.
BIGGER IS BETTER: The main cooling effect is felt from directly beneath a ceiling fan and drops off dramatically within about 2 feet from the blades. If the fan is in the middle of the room with seating off to the side, use as large a fan as you can handle. If the seating is directly beneath the fan, use a fan large enough to cover the seating area.
