The Puhkah, Palmetto, and belt driven Bourbon Street fans from Fanimation were originally produced by Casablanca Fan Company. In 1984, that department was released to Tom Frampton, who left Casablanca under a mutual agreement and founded Fanimation to continue manufacturing these very specialized ceiling fans.
Since Fanimation’s inception in 1984, they’ve become an acknowledged leader in the industry by creating and producing refreshingly innovative ceiling fans for a wide variety of venues. Fanimation’s founder, Tom Frampton, is well known for his creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Tom began Fanimation in his garage, with the three fan designs. From the start, these benchmark designs have set the standard for the industry, including The Islander®, featuring the Original Palm Leaf Fan Blade®; The Palisade® with its vertical rotation design; and The Punkah®, sporting a side-to-side, synchronized motion.
The growth of Fanimation’s outstanding collection of fans has been nothing short of spectacular. Through the years, their collection has grown to include more than 31 fan designs. With numerous fan blade, lighting, finishing and accessory options, the number of ways Fanimation fans can be customized is practically limitless.
From the cool tropical look of The Islander® and The Palisade® to the traditional flavor of The Americana®, from the nostalgic feel of The Bourbon Street® and The Old Havana® to our amazingly contemporary, single-blade fan, The Enigma®, their product line reflects the growth, diversity and innovation that characterizes every Fanimation fan.
Fanimation's newest offerings include the unique retractable blade design of the Air Shadow™, a new creative partnership with lighting manufacturer, Hubbardton Forge®, the Fargo™, a re-design of an antique bankers fan. Fanimation fans are as diverse and distinctive as their customers, complementing every décor, every setting and every style.
At Fanimation, they are dedicated to creating and manufacturing high-quality ceiling fans that are as functional as they are expressive. The development of their product line throughout their 22-year history reflects their number one priority – the satisfaction of their customers.
