The Stiletto fireplace door is custom made to fit your fireplace. This door features a very narrow minimal frame that projects 1 5/8" from the face of the fireplace for overlap fits. This makes the Stiletto great for applications where an inside fit is best because the thin frame has less impact on shrinking the viewing area. Plus, the depth of the frame makes acts like a mortar flange making it easier to fill gaps with mortar.
The frame is fabricated from aluminum extrusions that are either anodized or powder coated. The extrusions are mitered in the corners and pieced together much like a picture frame.
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust or tarnish and is quite impervious to heat. It is a much sturdier material than sheet metal and less expensive than solid brass or solid steel.
The glass is 1/4" thick fully tempered safety glass with a Lifetime Warranty for breakage, and you CAN burn the fire with the doors closed if you wish.
- Fits Masonry and Zero Clearance Fireplaces.

Standard -vs- Cutback
The Stiletto masonry doors are availble in the standard and cutback versions. The cutback option is $150 to $200 more than the standard frame. When mounting the standard frame on the outside of the fireplace (overlap fit) it projects out 1 5/8". The cutback options removes most of that projection and only projects 5/16". The cutback frame only as about 1/4" tolearance, so it is only used in rare cases where the fireplace is perfectly square.
The above image shows the difference in profile between the Stiletto and Stiletto Cutback. The frame thickness of the cutback is 5/8", but looks less in the above computer generated example.
