Project 10001 - Fireplace Door Mock-Ups

This marble fireplace has an 8" wide smoke deflector at the top of the opening. It was installed to reduce the opening height of the fireplace because it was not drafting well and smoke was coming into the house. The impact on the performance of the fireplace was minimal, so the customer is considering removing the smoke deflector and installing glass doors instead. We have made some recommendations for glass doors that have a wider frame at the top and may act like a smoke deflector. The customer has requested to see some other doors as well that have narrower frames.

Note: These mock-ups are digitally created and meant to be used as a visualization tool only. The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Be sure to View Our Finish Samples Here to choose your finish.

Mesh Options

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
