Here is an arched stone fireplace. The customer has requested to see how the Buckingham Arch Makeover door looks on this fireplace. For rock fireplaces, we will normally recommend and inside fit, but in this case, the stones appear rather flat, so an outside fitting door is appropriate. The Buckingham is an excellent choice for this application for three reasons: 1) The frame is wider than most frames, so it will provide more overlap to hide irregularities around the opening. 2) The wider frame at the top is perfect because this fireplace is already slightly short for the width, so visually the opening will appear taller more proportional. 3) The wider frame allows a lot of room for play so the accuracy of the template is less critical.
Based on these pictures, it looks like the stones are pretty flat.
These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.
