This is an archive of concepts that we have supplied to this point in order from last to first. Option 6 and 7 are the Legend Arch Door. All of the other options are based on modifications to the Black Rock Fireplace Door. Mesh panel doors will be used behind the functional glass doors (see bottom of page). 1/2" or 1" bevel can be added to each of the vertical edges of the glass for all options. Where window panes are shown, these are not individual pieces of glass. The window pane pattern is cut from a single piece of solid 1/4" thick steel. The width of the metal in the pane designs can be customized and is shown to be narrower in option 5. Options 4 and 3 can have narrower pane designs as well.
Additional Comment: When removing the window pane pattern from the doors, I recommend a full frame around each door so that the center frame for the mesh panel door is hidden. This may be advisable for any of the designs. Although it is often more desirable to have a full view of the fire, the mesh panel doors will obstruct that view anyway. So I believe the door frame looks better this way and the beveled glass has a better flow.

Here is an idea the customer liked from Houzz
Two gate mesh panel doors are added behind the glass doors and open with their own separate frame so that the fire can be burned with the doors open or closed. The doors are made of a heady duty flat wire mesh.
It is possible to use some other types of glass. These would look good with option 4 or 5 (with side panels) where the patterned glass is used for the fixed panels and clear glass is used for the functional doors. Here are some of the common options:
These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.
