Project 10064 - Fireplace Door Mock-Ups

White Brick Fireplace

Opening Size: 40 1/2 W" x 34 3/4 H".

This is a very typical brick fireplace with a raised hearth that has been painted white. The only thing unusual is the opening size, which is just a little taller than average, so none of the stock aluminum doors from Design Specialties will fit. So this is going to require a custom made fireplace door, but since it is such a simple application, it is an open slate and pretty much any style custom door will work. What looks good is very subjective and depends on the rest of the decor in the room. Because we did not see any room pictures, we are operating a little blindly, so we picked a few more doors than usual. We have chosen some custom aluminum doors and some custom steel doors, so the price range and look varies widely. This should give you an idea which direction to go.

Note: These mock-ups are digitally created and meant to be used as a visualization tool only. The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Be sure to View Our Finish Samples Here to choose your finish.

Mesh Options

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
