Customer Comments: Hi, i have a right angle fireplace that I'm trying to get doors /screens for. The long side is 40”, short side is 18”, height is 28”. Attached is not the best picture but I'm out of town for the next week so that's what i have for now. Any idea how expensive this would be?

We recommend to watch video #4: Measuring Masonry Fireplaces for some helpful information about measuring. Although the video does not discuss corner fireplaces, about 5:30 into the video, it talks about how to use a level to measure a stone fireplace. You are going to need to do that when measuring the widths. Also, when measuring the height, measure to the level of the hearth, not down inside. The doors will probably not sit on the hearth because it appears that the top stones are slightly back from the inner hearth edge. So it is likely that mortar is going to be necessary underneath the door frame as well as around the top and sides. We can make the door drop slightly below the hearth, but this is not recommended because it will give you less room for error in the measurements. Once we have looked at the measurements you supply, we will decide how much room for play to build into the final dimensions so that there is no risk that the door is too big. A little smaller than required is best since it will be mortared in.
These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.
