Project 10086 - Fireplace Door Mock-Ups

In The Wall Marble Fireplace

Customer Request: Bungalow in the Satin Brass. Brookfield in Vintage Iron, Soloar Bronze and Ancient Age. Optional glass colors.

Opening Size: 34" W x 25 1/2" H

Recommended Door Sizes:
Bungalow: 39" W x 30 1/2" H (overlap 2 1/2" on each side)
Brookfield: 36" W x 27 1/2" H (overlap 1" on each side)

Our Comments: With an "In The Wall" fireplace like this where gas logs are being used, we recommend using a 4-sided frame without a draft, which is how we have created these examples. If wood was being burned in this fireplace, we would suggest a 4-sided frame with a draft assembly (not shown). Also, regarding the extra recessed depth of the marble return inside the opening: The installation hardware included with the fireplace door is only about 8" long, so it will require that holes be drilled into the marble on the top and bottom (we will need to know how the lintel is positioned). The brackets can be located on the sides, but they will be more visible than if installed on top and bottom. If drilling into the marble is not desired, you can attach plumbers tape to the brackets to extend back into the fireplace and mount the tape to the firebrick inside the fireplace either on the top and bottom or on the sides.

Note: These mock-ups are digitally created and meant to be used as a visualization tool only. The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Mesh Options

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
