Our Comments: This is a fireplace remodel, so it is an open book. There are 4 ways fireplace doors can be made for a fireplace like this, so we have created examples of each type. This gives you maximum flexibility in how you decide to finish off the face of the fireplace. So you can let the door cover all or part of the black metal and then cover the rest with whatever facing you choose, whether it be brick, tile, stone or marble.
- The Legend ZC Deluxe can be make to cover the entire black metal face.
- The Brookfield ZC Deluxe overlaps the sides by about 1" and cover the black metal at the top and bottom.
- The Brookfield ZC will overlap the black metal about 1/2" on all 4 sides.
- The Stiletto ZC is made as an inside fit and leaves a 1/4" gap around the 4 sides.
The Brookfield ZC Deluxe and the Legend ZC Deluxe are not available in a satin nickel finish except for the door frames themselves, so we chose finishes for the outer frame that compliment the satin nickel doors.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
