Project 10153 - Fireplace Doors for Marble Ledger Stone Fireplace

Customer Comments: Hello, I am looking for a modern simple fireplace door in a silver or brushed nickel finish. I liked the Bedford, Brookfield and Stiletto styles. The fireplace has an opening of 25 1/4” Length by 41” Wide. I have attached pictures of the fireplace, please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Fireplace Measurements: 41" W x 25 1/4" H

Our Comments: Due to the irregular surface of this beautiful marble ledger stone fireplace, will need to make the doors fit inside the opening, so stock size doors will not work, they will need to be custom made. We the overall size of the frame be made 1/4" less in width and height of the smallest measurement of the opening left to right and top to bottom. This will leave only 1/8" tolerance on all 4 sides, so the measurements need to be accurate. You may or may not decide to fill in that small gap with mortar.

Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Slim Moderne
Slim Moderne Fireplace Door Option #1: Slim Modern in Satin Nickel with Textured Black Outer Frame. This is a very sheik looking door that has no handles. It opens much like a cabinet that has no handles. It is custom made from solid 3/16" thick steel barstock, so it is very sturdy and has a look of high quality, particularly in the finish, that you cannot get with the aluminum doors.
Odyssey
Odyssey Fireplace Door Option #2: Odyssey in All Black (2 door only). This door was designed specifically for applications where there is a big screen TV above the fireplace. The glass is black and you cannot see through it when the doors are shut. Very contemporary look and worth considering.
Stiletto

Mesh & Insulation Options

The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
