Project 10174 - Glass Doors For Wide Rock Fireplace

Customer Comments: I contacted you a while ago but didnt order at that time. I am ready to now. We are looking for custome fit doors for our fireplace. It is stone and uneven. I hope you can help. The width is 50" at the top and goes down to 48". It is 20 3/4" high on the left side and goes to 21". I have attached pictures i hope they are ok. I am looking for something simple. I like the custom Aluminum doors #4 Brookfeild or #10 Brookfeild zc deluxe or whatever you think will look good. In a powder coat dark pewter with clear glass non beveled, standard doors and i think i like the regular black mesh curtains. We are not looking to spend to much about $1000 us. Thank you.

Our Comments: Your fireplace is very short and due to the irregular surface, will require a door that fits inside the opening. For this reason, we recommend using the Stiletto door because it has a very narrow frame that will give you the maximum height for viewing area. We do not recommend the Brookfield because it has a 2" wide frame where the Stiletto is slightly less than 1". We have created examples of both doors so you can see what we are talking about.

Fireplace Opening: 48" W x 20 3/4" H

Note: These mock-ups are digitally created and meant to be used as a visualization tool only. The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Stiletto Cutback
Option #1: Stiletto Cutback in Vintage Iron with Mesh Curtains. Notice how the more narrow door frame preserves more of the opening height compared to the Brookfield.

Option #2: Brookfield in Vintage Iron with Mesh Curtains. Notice how the width of the door frame shrinks the opening height.

Mesh Options

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
