Project 10218 - Glass Doors for Travertine Fireplace

Customer Request: Steve, I had just communicated with you on your website about some fireplace doors I would like to get installed in a house I just acquired. I would prefer an inside fit with a iron or dark bronze finish frame with bi-fold glass doors. The dimensions are 44 1/8 inch width by 29 1/8 inch height. Thanks.

Our Comments: We have created several examples of doors that we believe will look great on your fireplace. We have shown how the doors look as both inside and outside fit. If made as an inside fit, we would make the door 1/4" less than your opening on the top and each side, so 1/2" less in width and 1/4" less in height. Notice the grout filling in the gap on the left and right sides of our examples.

Fireplace Opening: 44 1/8" W x 29 1/8" H

Note: These mock-ups are digitally created and meant to be used as a visualization tool only. The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Mesh Options

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
