Customer Comments: Hello Steve, Here are my fireplace pictures. It is a flush hearth with inside dimensions of about 28 3/4 x 37 1/4", from brick to inside brick. The outer dimensions of the door frame is 29 3/4 x 40 1/4". The style I want is the Oak Tree fireplace door. Like the 1/2" beveled glass. Would it look better with the 1" or even be noticeable? Need black mesh curtains. Frame finish darker, like forged iron. No brass, golds , oranges or copper. You can see what would match the fireplace made with bouquet canyon rocks. It is about 20' tall. I’m not sure about the powder coat finish. Will batting be required? I have it now. What is the glass rated at? I saw custom louvers. Non to match the oak tree design?
Our Comments: We have created a couple examples for you to see below. 1" beveled glass will show up much better than 1/2". A little mortar around the door may be necessary rather than the insulation that you currently have. The glass is 1/4" thick fully tempered safety glass and has a lifetime warranty from breakage.
These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.
