Project 10257 - Glass Doors for Fireplace Remodel

Customer Comments: 39 1/2 - 39 15/16 wide. 24 1/2 - 24 5/8 High. Wood burning; brick chimney with square liner. in fire place it seems to be formed on the sides with metal walls made into the masonary bottom and front surround. We had a bi-fold glass door outside front install, with 2 mesh screens on a rod to pull closed in a brushed patina brass finish. My husband likes a black frame - not super shiny; or dark brass maybe. The pressure attachment would not hold it in place any longer and the bi-folds and screens did not move very well. Fire place has a blower fan that blows out through brick vents - which we rarely use.

Our Comments: Your fireplace is an open canvas with many options in a wide price range. Here are the doors we think will look great on your fireplace ranging from very high quality and rugged hand forged steel, to less expensive steel barstock and, the least expensive aluminum frames.

Fireplace Opening: 39 1/2" W x 24 1/2" H (smallest dimensions)

The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Mesh Options

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
