Project 10274 - Screen for Traditional Brick Fireplace

Customer Comments: Hi, I am looking to get a custom screen for my fireplace. We are interested in free standing with doors. How are permanent doors attached? And who does that? I guess if you can do mock ups of both that would be helpful. Thank you. The dimensions are 31 3/4 inch wide by 33 3/4 inch tall.

Our Comments: Some of ourfireplace glass doors cannot be made as free standing screens but all of our glass doors can be made as screen doors that are attached to the fireplace. Doors that are attached to the fireplace are sturdier and easier to open and close and you never have to worry about knocking them over. Attaching a door to the fireplace is a simple DIY task with 4 brackets that are attached to the bricks inside the fireplace by drilling holes and using the supplied sinkers and screws. Note: These mock-ups are digitally created and meant to be used as a visualization tool only. The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Mesh Options

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
