Project 10281 - Mesh Fireplace Doors
35 5/8” width,
inset screen doors,
at least 4” top.
Legend rectangle with arch window looks interesting as does buckingham vintage iron.
Our Comments: Looking closely we can see the smoke deflector behind your existing screen, so we are assuming that this fireplace does not draft properly and the screen door needs to act as a smoke guard, thus needing a frame of at least 4" at the top. We have created several examples of how that can be accomplished with a mesh door. Each of the examples below can also be made as glass doors that have mesh doors behind them.
Fireplace Opening Size:
35 5/8" W x 29" H
Note: These mock-ups are digitally created and meant to be used as a visualization tool only. The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Be sure to View Our Finish Samples Here to choose your finish.
Option #1: Legend Fireplace Screen Door with Tuscan Surround in Vintage Iron with Textured Black background. We would make this door overlap the opening 2" on each side, 1/2" at the top and 3" on the bottom. This would provide the proportion similar to what you see in the picture. So the overall size of this frame on the outside would be approximately: 39 5/8" W x 32 1/2" H. This would reduce the width of the viewable opening slightly, but will look great.
Option #2: Legend Arch Window Pane Fireplace Screen Door in Vintage Iron
Option #5A: Legend Deluxe Masonry Screen Door in Forged Iron with Top and Bottom Faux Louvers. The bottom faux louver would cover the entire marble bottom to give the fireplace opening a more proportional look.
Option #5B: Legend Deluxe Masonry Screen Door in Forged Iron with Top Faux Louver.

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
