Project 10293 - Glass Doors for Traditional Fireplace

Customer Comments: Hi, folks. Here are the photos for our fairly oversized fireplace that we'd like to have fitted for a Stilleto-style door, with mesh screens. The dimensions are: 56.5w x 34.5H and the opening only is 50"W x 31"H. Thank you!

Our Comments: Due to the irregularities in the fireplace opening, the Stiletto door will only work as an inside fit and will require the gap to be filled with mortar. Although a very narrow frame like the Stiletto is often desired, with a fireplace opening as large as yours a wider frame may be more appropriate and will allow you to overlap the opening to hide the irregularities. We have created examples of both applications.

Note: These mock-ups are digitally created and meant to be used as a visualization tool only. The door frames are not exactly to scale and the finishes we attempt to replicate may not be accurate and will look different on every device. Mesh Options

These options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
