Project #10377 - Glass Door for 2 Sided Outdoor Fireplace #1
Customer Comments: I have a two sided fireplace that does not draw due to a constant draft coming off of the lake. I want to put a glass door on one side of the fireplace to see if this will resolve the issue. The minimum height is 23-1/4” (max 23-9/16). And minimum width is 46-9/16” (max 47-3/16). Please let me know what styles that I have to choose from.
Our Comments: We have created examples of several doors in a variety of price ranges that are suitable for your outdoor fireplace. These are made from either aluminum on the low end or stainless steel on the high end. Ideally, the door would be installed as an inside fit with mortar filling the gaps. However, it appears that the stone is not too rough for an overlap fit, but that is something you will need to determine. We show the first example as an inside fit with mortar.
Fireplace Opening Size: 40 5/16" W x 24 1/4" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
