Project #10472 - Minimal Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: To whom it may concern, We are looking to cover the front of our fireplace with doors and would like to see which of your available models would fit or can be customized to fit. We have a gas burning fireplace with damper/chimney. I have attached a few photos and a sketch with dimensions. I'm relatively handy and am planning to install it myself. Please advise on options such as plain glass doors vs integrating some fan or vents or otherwise. We are looking for a somewhat clean/modern aesthetic if that helps.
Our Comments: We have some great options for modern style doors for your fireplace in a range of materials, finishes and prices. Regarding integrating a fan with your gas logs, that is not something that we do, nor do we suggest it. Most gas log manufacturers do not allow fans to be used with their products as it can generate unusual airflow and cause sooting and excessive amounts of carbon monoxide. If you want heat from your gas logs, you will need ventless logs.
Fireplace Opening: 45 1/4" W x 23 5/8" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
