Project #10497 - Black and Brass Fireplace Doors
Customer Comments: Hi, Shopping for fireplace doors for this masonry fireplace. Interested in Apex Custom Fireplace door in Black with Brass trim. See attached photo. Dimensions are 34 1/2" tall x 48” wide.
Our Comments: We have created several examples of doors similar to what you have described, including the Apex. Keep in mind that the aluminum doors like the Apex do not have a polished or satin brass option. They do have a powder coated finish that is more gold toned called Candlelight Brass, but that may not match well with your cabinet hardware. So we included several other examples of a higher end product that is actually made from solid brass. If you can email a picture of your room taken with your back against the fireplace it would be helpful so we can see the actual decor.
Also, notice that we can supply a matching Valve Cover and Gas Key as pictured with the solid brass doors below.
Fireplace Opening: 48" W x 34 1/2" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Aluminum Doors
Aluminum doors, such as the Apex, are not available in a brass or satin brass finish. They are available in a powder coated gold tone called "Candlelight Brass". We have created two examples of aluminum doors in a combination finish

Solid Brass Doors
These doors are made from 3/16" thick solid brass barstock. The brass components can have a polished or satin finish. They are finished like fine jewelry and have a heat resistant baked on enamel finish, so you never need to polish them.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
