Customer Comments: I’m looking for something rustic that’s attaches to the inside and not on the face of the stone
Our Comments: For outdoor fireplaces we are limitted to doors that are made from special materials that can handle the elements. These are Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Galvanized Treated Wrought Iron. The Aluminum and Stainless steel doors can be burned with the doors close. The Galvanized Wrought Iron doors must be burned with the doors open.

Aluminum - Powder Coated
Option #1: Stiletto Twin Aluminum Fireplace Glass Door in Vintage Iron Powder Coat with Stainless Steel Mesh Curtains (painted black). Requires outdoor stainless package for twin door hinges. Bifold hinges are not available in stainless steel, so bifold aluminum doors are not recommended for outdoors.
Stainless Steel - Powder Coated
Option #2: Legend Stainless Steel Fireplace Glass Door in Vintage Iron with Stainless Steel Mesh Curtains (painted black). This door is made from 100% stainless steel and is the most highly recommended door for outdoors if you want to burn your fire with the doors closed.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
