Project #10587 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Hi, we are looking for doors for our basement fireplace. Measurements are: Height: 25 1/8” from the bottom of the firebox to the lintel. The firebox drops about 5/8” from the brick. So it’s 24 1/2" from the bottom brick to the lintel. Width: 33 3/4"
There are Corbels on either side of the opening, so the maximum the door can overlap the brick is 2 1/4". As you can see by the pictures we have already purchased a Grate Heater that will be used with the doors. The Height of the Grate Heater is 1 3/8". We like the Brookfield door, but are open to ideas.
Our Comments: The Brookfield will work if you do not mind the heater bar extending out further than the door. We have included some other doors that can be custom made to wrap are the heater bar similar to how it is done in your other room. Those doors will be about twice the price as the Brookfield, but they are very heavy duty made from 3/16" thick laser cut steel.
Fireplace Opening: 33 3/4" W x 24 1/2" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
