Project #10621 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Hello, We are looking for fireplace doors that will fit inside and flush with the marble. I hope they are hi res enough as you requested. Gas outlet is 2 1/2 inches back from front of tile and noted on the relevant photograph. Since we want it flush with the marble mosaic tile I assume this would be custom made although if there was a pre-made unit with these measurements we would consider. Most likely would choose a black color however would be open to brushed or satin nickel to match hardware/fixtures in home. This is mostly for looks as we have not used the fireplace in 10 years, recently re-gas lined because of a leak but MAY be used in the future. Thanks!
Our Comments: After looking closely at your fireplace, we do not recommend an inside fitting door since some of the tile edges at the top are uneven and the side returns inside the fireplace are not finished. So we sould suggest overlapping the tile by about 1/4" to 1/2" to hide these defects.
Fireplace Opening: 35 1/4" W x 30" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

High End Solid Brass Doors
These doors are high end and top quality. Hand crafted locally from 3/16" thick solid brass barstock then finished like fine jewelry.

Laser Cut Steel Doors
These doors are made by laser cutting a solid sheet of 3/16" thick steel, so they are very flat to the fireplace.
Aluminum Doors
These doors have narrow frames that are about 1 1/2" deep, so they are not nearly flat to the fireplace as the above doors, but are far less expensive.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
