Project #10658 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: I am looking for fireplace curtain with top bar in satin nickel or brushed nickel. I do not want doors. I do not want the finish to be shiny. On your web site it looks like steel metallic finish is what I’m looking for. I don’t want it to have a gold cast but more gray to match the stone. I can’t tell exactly which of your finishes is the less shiny, satin or brushed or even pewter. On the web site they all look so similar. My husband discussed the curtain option with you but I am now trying to determine which finish we want. Black curtain. The opening is 34x29. It would be an inside mount. Thanks for your assistance.
Our Comments: I believe Pewter would be your best choice. It is a dull silver finish. Satin Nickel, although not a polished finish, is a brushed finish with more sheen. We have created mockups showing the 4 different ways an attached sliding mesh curtain can be made.
Fireplace Opening: 34 " W x 29" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Sliding Mesh Curtain Options
There are 4 ways to do sliding mesh curtains. Header bar, header bar and fender, 3-sided frame and 4-sided frame. Those that have a bar across the bottom prevent logs from rolling out as the mesh will hit the bottom bar instead of the mesh just pushing open.
Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
