Project #10676 - Glass Doors for Arched Stone Fireplace

This is the first of two fireplaces. See Project #10682 for second fireplace.

Customer Comments: 40" W x 39"H - Rustic black powder coat finish - Twin door Framed - Clear glass - Standard doors. Considering twin gate mesh back up doors or possibly black mesh curtains.

Our Comments: Mesh curtains cannot be used on arched fireplaces since the mesh would be longer in the center than the sides and you would not be able to open it. So that decision is easy, you will need gate mesh backup doors. Here are some examples of doors to consider for such a beautiful fireplace. Typical doors are made to overlap the opening by about 3/4", which will work great if you overlap the bricks. But as we created the mockups we determined that it might look better to cover the bricks entirely with the frame and then fill the small gaps between the frame and the stones with mortar. We have provided a couple examples of that look as well.
