Project #10691 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Hi, We are interested in an overlap glass fireplace door for our brick masonry fireplace. I think the stock savannah is our preference. See pictures attached. The colors we are interested in are black, solar bronze, and cast bronze.
Measurements:
Width: 34 7/8" to 35 1/8"
Height: 21 3/4" to 22"
Height to lintel: 21 1/8" to 21 3/8"
Brick before lintel is 1" deep then lintel is 3 1/2" deep.
Our Comments: Thanks for providing such concise information. Based on your measurements, the Stock Savannah will "BARELY" by 1/8" at the top. So it is important that you recheck your measurements before we make this door for you. This becomes even more critical if you add mesh curtains to your door because they recess about 2 1/2" into the opening and if the lintel is less than 21 1/8" from the hearth, the mesh curtain rod will not fit under it. Gate Mesh Backup Doors only project back about 1/2", so they are less of a concern. Here are mockups for the finishes you requested showing both mesh options.
Fireplace Opening: 34 7/8" W x 21 1/8" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
