Project #10698 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Hi Felix, My measurements are 34 W x 30 H. I am wondering if this item comes with hidden hinges (FLD-1) ? Also can you find out how many inches the frame is that sits on the brick? It looks to be a few inches, would like to know exactly if possible. Also, I am interested in having a damper assembly. Thank you very much.
Our Comments: The FLD-1 cannot be made with hidden hinges. The whole idea of this door is that there is no frame around the glass, which requires there to be a visible hinge. We have included the Hidden Hinge door as well as another option. All of the solid brass doors have a 2" wide frame and are available in satin nickel or polished chrome. These doors cannot be burned with the doors closed, so having a draft assembly is not really necessary, but is good for starting fires. You can start the fire with the doors closed and open the draft, but once the fire gets going, you must open the doors. You can then close the doors as the fire is dying out and leave the draft closed to seal off the fireplace. We included a plated steel door for comparison, but the finish on the steel will not look as good or last as long.
Fireplace Opening: 34" W x 30" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

High End Satin Nickel and Polished Chrome Doors
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
