Project #10701 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Good evening, We are interested in learning more about your custom glass fireplaces. Our fireplace is 59” wide and 48” high, but the opening is only 30” high as it is 18” off the ground. I’d like to receive a quote for a custom (#302) 1G10 Plain Glass Screen solid brass. Thank you.
Our Comments: A free standing glass screen will certainly look great with your fireplace and decor. Our concern is the irregularity of the hearth, which might cause instability with this type of screen. If the screen is unstable, we can supply a 3/16" thick black steel stabilizer plate that can be bolted to the hearth and have the gaps under it filled with mortar for a clean look. We can supply this up front, or it can be ordered later if you find the screen to be unstable.
Fireplace Opening: 59" W x 48" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Low End Aluminum Doors
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.
Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
