Project #10751 - Glass Doors for See Through Fireplace
Customer Comments: I am writing to request your free design service. While I understand the the (#1) Bungalow Aluminum doors are available for Masonry style fireplaces, I prefer the modern, wide frame style. Our fireplace has two doors on opposite faces of the fireplace as shown in the images below. One face of the fireplace is viewable from our family room while the other is viewable from our breakfast/kitchen area.
The firebox is zero clearance but does not have any construction/fabrication identification label that I was able to find. I have removed the fireplace doors on one side while the other side (kitchen side) doors remain mounted. The opening of the metal firebox is small: 24" wide and 17 1/2" high. The metal firebox frame is 1.5" wide at the top, 2" wide on the sides and 5" wide at the bottom. The metal frame of the firebox protrudes 1/2" beyond the brick face. The prior fireplace door frame is 3" wide on the top and sides and 4" wide at the bottom.

Our Comments: We have created several mockups of the Legend ZC Deluxe with various trim options. We suggest you choose the same variation for both sides but change the finish combination to better match the decor.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
