Our Comments: We have 3 different types of doors for this application. Aluminum doors that fit inside the metal opening. Steel doors that overlap the black metal. Solid Brass and Steel doors that can overlap the tile.
Important Note: You cannot burn a gas fire with glass doors closed. This is not a limitation of the doors themselves, it is a requirement for burning gas.

Low End Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Stiletto ZC Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Satin Nickel (brushed aluminum) doors. Shown with Custom Made Black and Satin Nickel Valve Cover and Gas Key.

Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Option #3: Legend ZC Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Satin Nickel (plated steel) doors. Shown with Custom Made Black and Satin Nickel Valve Cover and Gas Key.

High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.
Important Note: These doors overlap the tile and have 1/4" spacers on the back side of the frame that allow the door to stand off slightly from the opening. This prevents overheating of the prefab fireplace. You cannot burn a fire with the doors closed with these doors.
Option #5: HHFL-CVBF Hidden Hinge Bifold Door in Nickel Plated Solid Brass in Satin Nickel with 1/4" Spacers. Shown with Gray Glass and Custom Made Satin Nickel Valve Cover and Gas Key.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
