Project #10771 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Metal part of Stoll door rusted and I have repainted with regular spray paint, not heat resistant, to get me thru Xmas. Interested in Design Specialties Legend in brass or Carolina in 2 tone black and brass. Greg, also wanted to mention that I really like mock up #1 and #6 (with no andirons. My room is a den) in the online example Project #10185.
Our Comments: Design Specialties does not make brass. The closest they have to brass is the Candlelight finish, which is more of a gold tone and would clash with all of your true solid brass pieces in your room. So to start, we will show you several doors made from true solid brass. These can be made in many different finishes and combinations of finishes and there are a wide variety of materials to choose from. View Solid Brass Trims and Finishes!. These doors are hand crafted by Stone Manufacturing, the only fireplace door manufacturer that uses real solid brass. These doors will not rust like the ones you had from Stoll.

Before: The finish on this door was deteriorating so the customer painted it black and gold. They ultimately decided to replace the entire door with the one shown in the after pictures below.

High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
