High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass

These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Comments

Customer Comments: Hi there, I've been searching for a custom fireplace door or screen for quite some time and have struggled due to the unusual size. I'm hoping Hansen Wholesale can help! I'm attaching photos here and included a few with dimension details on the photos. Here are the dimensions, as well:

42'' wide x 22.25'' tall (on the current metal piece)
41.5'' wide x 21.5'' tall (for the brick opening)

As you will see in photos, we keep a bench/cover on top of the space in front of the fireplace since we have small children. We will be needing a door or screen that can accommodate this bench. It will hinder the opening of large accordion style doors so I'm interested in another type of design for a door or even a screen instead of doors. The depth from the bench/cover to the metal grate is 5'' and I've included a photo.

Due to the space, I prefer items in lighter tones- whites, tans, golds. Right now we have an old metal screen grate covering the space. Ideally, I'd like to remove this and have a nice door with a barrier between for when we use the fireplace. If not, I'm open to getting a custom sized mesh or new metal screen for use when over the space up with a screen for decorative purposes (I have a feeling the door option may be limited since we cannot open it far due to the bench). Do you make custom screens, instead of doors? If so, something similar to this (the example below) but with our custom sizing:

Our Comments: As you can see from our mockups, we have several solutions for glass doors that will work. We simply make the bottom frame a bit taller so the doors clear the hearth. We can also incorporate the Chevron pattern that you like in your example screen. We can use that for a glass door or free standing screen. The options are literally only limited by your budget.

Mesh & Insulation Options

The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
