Project #10857 - Glass Doors for Prefab Fireplace with Brick and Quartizte Trim
Customer Comments: Need recommendations what kind of doors I will need. As you can see our lintel is up to high under the brick. We would like to do an inside mount but if that isn’t possible that o.k. We just would like to expose as much of the quartzite as possible. We like the thin frame. The quartzite is about an inch so I don’t know if the doors can be supported on it
Our Comments: The doors that fit inside the opening are very limited in style, but may be just what you want. We have included both inside fit and overlap fitting doors. The overlap fitting doors need only overlap the edge of the quartzite 1/4". These types of doors have many different styles and materials to choose from.

Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Low End Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
High End Hand Crafted Doors
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.
Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
