Project #10917 - Custom Firelpace Screens for Gas Fireplace
Customer Comments: Hi, We are looking for a freestanding screen for our gas fireplace. The measurements of the opening are 38" width and 34.5" is the height of the opening from the floor to the top. We would like an overlap of 1" on each side of the screen and over the top of the opening. We like the Carolina wrought iron and Carolina Mission WP freestanding screens as far as design options. We also like Ancient Age finish although it's hard to tell the true color from the website.
Our Comments: We have created some mockups so you can see how the Carolina screens you like might look on your fireplace. We included some other design options for your consideration.
Fireplace Opening: 38" W x 34 1/2" H (from floor)
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

These screens are laser cut from 3/16" thick solid steel with a powder coat finish

Stone Manufacturing
Stone Manufacturing has a wide variety of screens with unique custom designs. These are either hand crafted from solid brass or laser cut steel depending on the model. These are very high end screens that have a more refined looked with the highest quality finish available.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
