Project #10935 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Greetings, I saw your company name on Houzz. We are looking for fireplace glass door for our house, pics attached. The opening is 48" w and 42" tall. We are in Cary, NC. We literally have no decor for you to try to match with as we're rehabbing the house and have a youngster. Our future style will include some traditional colonial elements with more modern elements so it feels updated vs. not stuck in the past. I like your "Carolina" window pane #22 and Carolina Sunrise #25 at first glance. Not sure if relevant, but we also plan to repaint the firebox black or gray as the previous owner kept it white and filled it with potted ferns. I like the idea of mesh screens behind the class. I also really like the idea of fixed, closely fitting fireplace door as it might help retain heat in the winter, and per Duke Energy we are currently losing some via our chimney! Thank you,
Our Comments: Here are some great choices for your fireplace. When it comes to the finish on the doors, black is always a safe choice if you are still decorating a room and don't know what other fixtures you will have. Of course, we have many other finishes as well. We are showing these mockups with the inside of the fireplace painted black. A note about the white paint, you cannot burn anything in a fireplace that is painted white as the paint will can burn and become toxic. Yout should have it removed and then paint it with a high temperature black paint.
Fireplace Opening: 48" W x 42" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.

High End Hand Crafted Wrought Iron/Steel Doors
Hand crafted doors take on a more rugged natural look for those who appreciate craftsmanship tasteful details.
High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
