Customer Comments: Hello, I'm trying to get help selecting a fireplace door. The model fireplace is Marco #792862B. I'd like to purchase a bifold glass door but don't know which to select or how to get a quote on custom. Any help would be appreciated. Attached are some photos, more to follow. Thank you.
Our Comments: There are 2 types of doors you can use on a prefabricated fireplace like yours: Doors that fit inside the black metal opening and doors that overlap the tile. We recommend the overlap fitting doors because they will hide the exposed rough edges of the tile at the top and in the corners.

Low End Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Option #2: Legend Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Clear Glass. Shown with wide side frames made to hide the black metal inside the fireplace, particularly where the label is on the right.
High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass, Steel or a combination of both depending on the finishes desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
