Project #10943 - Arched Outdoor Fireplace Screen

Customer Comments: Terry, Regarding the information you asked for the width is 70 3/4", each side will be 33 1/2" and the center height will be 36 1/2". However, I was looking at this last weekend and I'm thinking a free standing rectangular frame with a fixed screen that can be moved to the side for access to the grate and then put back in place might be the way to go. I was thinking 42" wide x 32" tall with a rustic look. What do you think?

Our Comments: Here are two examples of the rustic wrought iron fireplace screens. These are made with a special zinc coating that dramatically reduces rust from being outdoors. These can be made in a natural iron or rust finish. The first example is the size you suggested and the second is a different proportion that is more even around the opening. Both are accompanied by matching accessories to complete the look and functionality.

Mesh & Insulation Options

The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
